MY EXPERIENCE:
Making this website was a very fun experience, sharing different content and resources about the things I love really motivated me to continue to reach out about these products. Unfortunately due to Covid-19 I wasn’t able to interview The Woodhouse, a massage therapy business, an over the phone interview wasn’t in line with their schedule either. I’m not an expert in their field, so they could’ve given my video some great content over the types of oils they work with. I really enjoyed getting to research different bloggers experiences over the course of this semesters project, and learning about their journeys and stories has really impacted me to be more grateful over the natural resources that are provides for us, and how they can really make a difference in someones life.
As a lot of the products and articles demonstrated in my blog show, majority of essential oils are in skincare products that helps your skin keep that youthful and natural glow. I use these products in many skin, beauty, and hair care now and I can see a difference. If I continue to use the products when I’m older, I will definitely be benefiting myself in the long run. In the future, I could see myself working with these products in a professional setting, and teaching people the great qualities oils can provide, whether I’m in the massage, or skincare industry. As time goes on, I’m sure there’ll be a wide variety of essential oils with better properties suited for everyone. Therefore, it will be an easy field to get involved in, and who doesn’t love helping others feel great mentally and physically?

Comparing my websites stats, the most popular week of viewers I had was on March 26, 2021, with 5 viewers and visitors. My “Everything to know about essential oils” post got 176 views, and I’m sure it got a lot of recognition from my classmates, and my promotions to social media as well, essential oils are a popular topic. Surprisingly, I had viewers all over in the U.S. China, India, Canada, and France which is a crazy feeling to know people on the other side of the world are interested in my blog. It’s surreal to see how the internet can bring people from all over the world together through one simple url, or link. Overall, my twitter promotions only brought me 15 views, so with that being said, social media is a resourceful place and can be used to spread information in a suitable manner.
