While essential oils provide outstanding benefits for humans, they don’t quite have the same effect on animals. Unfortunately, cats and dogs are much more sensitive when it comes to what they inhale. Diffusers can be harmful if animals are around because the vapor could potentially fall onto their skin, or be licked up if the spilt on the floor. It is important to research what kinds of oils are toxic to animals, and which ones are safe. Although these oils are natural, they have serious health risk for animals respiratory and immune systems that can be very harmful. Always consult with a veterinarian before purchasing oils if you have a fur baby at home.

Just when you thought things couldn’t get any better.. they did! Essential oils are an amazing natural bug repellent, considering bugs or pest hate they way certain oils smell, or love it. For example, spiders will stay clear from peppermint, while fruit flies love the solutions. The commonly used oils to repeal bugs are cinnamon, eucalyptus, lavender, lemongrass, peppermint, and tea tree. You can aways make your own bug trap or incorporate them into a store bought trap.
